The Vermiculite Journey

We maintain a highly efficient stock point in Antwerp, Belgium, designed for storing a comprehensive range of vermiculite products. Our Antwerp warehouse has a capacity of approximately 20,000 tonnes, enabling us to provide fast and convenient distribution services to customers in Europe and the US.

Route 1: Bulk product – On-site processing, storage and first transport

After production, our vermiculite is loaded into a shed by the railway and subsequently transported to the port in Maputo, Mozambique. .

Shipping from Maputo, Mozambique

From there, it can be shipped to Rotterdam via large vessels, typically for quantities ranging from 1000 to 1500 tonnes.

Once here it is tipped into a designated empty vermiculite shed. It is then loaded onto a vessel of up to 10000 tonnes per hold. We generally take 1 hold on 1 vessel but we have the option for 2 if required. It then makes its way to Rotterdam. Where it is decanted onto a barge and travels to our strategic stock point in Antwerp.

Delivery to you

The strategic location allows us to offer remarkably short lead times. We provide various delivery options for customer convenience. Additionally, we offer flexible and customised solutions by arranging containers in bulk or packing them in big bags.

Route 2: Containers – On-site processing, storage and first transport

After production, our vermiculite is loaded into a shed by the railway ready to be transported to the port in Maputo, Mozambique.

From there, it is shipped in containers via large vessels. Our big bags weighing 1.2 tonnes are sent to our stock point in Durban for storage and shipping.

Upon arrival, the vermiculite is either directly discharged into our warehouse or onto customer barges. Our bonded warehouse eliminates the need for customers to go through customs clearance, and our loading process within the warehouse remains unaffected by weather conditions.

Delivery to you

The strategic location of our warehouse in close proximity to our main market allows us to offer remarkably short lead times. We provide various delivery options, including bulk tipping trucks, bulk silo trucks, and big bags (IBC’s) for customer convenience. Additionally, we offer flexible and customised solutions by arranging containers in bulk or packing them in big bags.

Overall, Antwerp serves as our key stock point, enabling us to efficiently ship bags, bulk, or silo trucks of our high-quality vermiculite. Our distribution hub in Durban also is beneficial for customers wanting smaller quantities of products with the same shorter lead times.
