Micron-grade vermiculite is an ultra-fine mineral that is commonly used in industrial applications. It has a particle size of less than 20 microns, resulting in a material with water retention and insulating properties. It is often used in the production of refractory materials as it can withstand high temperatures without breaking down or losing its insulation properties. It is also used in the production of lightweight concrete, paints, coatings and plastics.
It is used as an additive to animal feeds as it can help improve digestion and nutrient absorption. It acts as a natural absorbent, providing oil control and mattifying effects in cosmetics like foundations, powders, and blushes. It is also used in brake linings in cars and commercial vehicles as well as for soundproofing and insulation purposes.
We work in partnership with customers who expand vermiculite (exfoliators) for other applications. Contact us for expert advice and to place and order.
