Superfine grade vermiculite is a finely ground and highly absorbent mineral that is commonly used in high-end horticultural and industrial applications. It is obtained by grinding natural vermiculite into a fine powder, resulting in a material with exceptional water retention properties. Super fine-grade vermiculite has a particle size of less than 0.3mm, making it an ideal choice for use in seed starting and propagation, where it provides superior moisture retention, aeration and drainage.
It is used in a variety of high-end horticultural and industrial applications. It is often used as a component in hydroponic growing media, where it helps to maintain a stable growing environment for plants, it is also used in the production of lightweight concrete and as a filler in paints, coatings and plastics. Additionally, super fine-grade vermiculite can be used as a top dressing to retain moisture and improve the appearance of soil surfaces. It can also be used as a seed coating to improve germination rates.
We work in partnership with customers who expand vermiculite (exfoliators) for other applications. Contact us for expert advice and to place and order.
